WHAT IS SILLWORLD?

SillWorld is the exciting, inviting and curiosity-driven world and lifestyle Mr. Sill created in his World History classrooms throughout his 23 years of teaching. It was a place where history came to life and he encouraged students to experience the story of us humans as an epic one, not just boring facts from a textbook.

Through interactive games, online puzzles, movie clips, podcasts, and historical artifacts collected from his own travels showcased around the classroom, being Mr. Sill’s student made for a unique year filled with passion and adventure.

“We want our students to symbolically drink what we call, the Awesomesauce!

Drink it. Jump in it. Swim around in it. Awesomesauce! That’s the thrill for learning something new that we used to have when we were five or six years old. You see these little guys running around; they’re curious, they want to know things, there’s a magical yearning to know stuff. Ask questions, observe, create things simply because they want to and think there’s some value in it.

Somehow, some students lose that magic and we want to get it back. If we show the students our passion, and love for education, they will notice.”
